Basilica of Ste Anne de Detroit
The Detroit Children’s Choir (DCC) will host its first live concert since the start of the pandemic! This celebration in song features 200 youth from six Detroit Public Schools and our Saturday Civic Choir, representing children from the Tri-county area. Professional artists will join the DCC on stage, including renowned, award-winning vocalist Gwen Foxx and Detroit rapper & lyricist Curtis Bates. Accompanied by a live band, the children will unite their voices of hope and resilience as they create beautiful music in a wide range of genres. We hope you will join us for this joyous and uplifting show!
The concert will be held at the Basilica of Sainte Anne de Detroit, a historic church located in SW Detroit. The church was founded July 26, 1701, by French colonists in New France and is the second-oldest continuously operating Roman Catholic parish in the United States. The Basilica is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places; its current Gothic Revival cathedral-styled church was built in 1886.
TOURS of this historic church will be offered before the concert, starting at 5:30 PM!!
