You may have heard that the DCC recently won two Detroit Music Awards, but did you know that 1 in every 5 of our students receives a scholarship to participate in our program?

The Detroit Children’s Choir is replenishing our scholarship fund for our Civic Choir Program. In the Civic Choir, students receive advanced training in vocal techniques and music theory. Many of our DCC students come directly from our in-school programs and join the Civic Choir to take their skills to the next level. This tuition-based program brings students from all counties together, and tuition scholarships allow more students to join the program.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to replenish the scholarship fund for tuition for the Civic Choir. These dollars will directly cover students' participation in the program through rehearsals, performances, and voice lessons through the DCC on a weekly basis. No child is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
